kneehilism/nyhilism

I have heard both pronunciations. I think officially it's supposed to be kneehilism, ie professors of philosophy say kneehilism. But the people in the street seem to think nyhilism as if extracted from annihilate. I prefer nyhilism.

  • But then again I'm a language destandardizer.

On the other hand, a lot of the grammar rule variations I champion make their own kind of sense and serve to bring greater coherence, like syncing the pronunciation of kneehilism and annihilate.

  • What a strange journal!! I off-handedly googled this website seeing if anyone else thought of the pronunciation of Nihilism (with "kneehilism" being the preferred pronunciation of my 12th grade English teacher). Strange indeed! Destandardization would result in absolute linguistic chaos (and anything goes in spoken dialogue). But it seems that the authors realized this and quietly abandoned the blog as soon as they realized how crazy they were, lol.
